The Challenge

The Olivia Concept was built on a powerful mission: to help young writers, artists, and creators present their work beautifully—for college applications, internships, and future opportunities.

But their website didn’t yet reflect that same polish or possibility. The team needed a system that was both elegant and scalable. More importantly, they needed custom tools that would empower students—not just showcase them.

There was no portfolio logic. No content model. No back-end ease-of-use for creators or their mentors. It was a beautiful brand waiting for the infrastructure to match.

  • Rebuilt core pages to clarify the offer:
    “Curated portfolios for the next generation of creators”
  • Developed a clean, outcome-driven homepage layout with simple CTAs
  • Simplified the brand message to speak to both parents and students without jargon
  • Added a visual site structure focused on outcomes: Show → Submit → Shine

OPERATE – Custom Post Types & Creator Logic

  • Built custom post types to organize work by medium (writing, visual art, music, etc.)
  • Designed reusable portfolio templates that feel premium, but are simple to update
  • Created submission forms and student back-end access options (optional)
  • Integrated flexible layouts that let The Olivia Concept team showcase individuals or cohorts

OPTIMIZE – Content & Visibility

  • Created SEO-friendly content fields for each portfolio (title, type, tags, artist bio)
  • Developed a blog and resource engine to support content around applications, curation tips, and creative development
  • Built in filtering and sorting features for larger collections (great for seasonal showcases)

PROGRESS – Long-Term Tools & Community

  • Positioned the site to support future program expansion (virtual workshops, portfolio reviews, editorial support)
  • Added testimonial structures to show impact and celebrate student wins
  • Created a replicable infrastructure that can be white-labeled or scaled for school partners
