“More hands makes less work.”
That’s not a Jonesy original . . . well, okay, maybe Ron said it too. Ok, it was from Letterkenny, but we’re sticking with it.
Spent the morning over in Levittown with the United Way crew, getting some paint on the walls of the new Bucks HQ and HELP Center. It wasn’t just about moving a brush around; it was about being part of what they’re calling a “New Home for Impact.”
This place is going to be a total game-changer for the community—a one-stop shop where people can get everything from fresh groceries and clothes to job training and legal aid. When you hear the stats, it really puts things into perspective. Since 2020, the demand for these services has jumped 1,400% . .. so yeah, this building is a massive deal for our neighbors.
We were split up into different cadres throughout the day, so I didn’t see everyone as much as I’d liked. We were tucked away in different corners of the building, focus-mode on getting that coverage right. But even if we weren’t in the same room, the energy was great.
It’s a simple thing, really—trading a few hours of sweat equity to help build a space where people can get the help they need with actual dignity.

Watching everyone jump in without hesitation is exactly what makes this community work. Whether it was cutting in the edges or rolling out the big sections, nobody was precious about it. We just got it done.
This was just the first layer (literally and figuratively). We’ll be popping back in over the next few months for a few more tasks to help get the finish line in sight. There is still plenty of work to do before the doors officially swing open, but seeing the progress today makes it feel real.
Huge thanks again to everyone who came out to put in the work. It’s amazing what happens when a few local businesses and good humans decide to show up at the same time.
