This past weekend, our community came together in an extraordinary way for the first-ever GiveBack Volunteer event organized through the Newtown Business Association (NBA) in partnership with the United Way of Bucks County. It was a day filled with teamwork, connection, and purpose, proving once again that more hands make less work—even if a little blood, sweat, and tears were shed in the process!
As we rolled up our sleeves and got to work, I was reminded of how truly blessed we are to be surrounded by such quality people—professionals and community members alike—who don’t hesitate to step up and make a difference.
Making an Impact Together
The GiveBack Volunteer event was orchestrated by the incredible Lorena Escalara, who rallied businesses and community members to contribute their time, energy, and resources. It was inspiring to see a diverse group of volunteers, business leaders, and local representatives working side by side to support the United Way Emergency Thanksgiving Pantry.
Thank you to every single volunteer who joined us—this couldn’t have been possible without YOU!
A special shoutout to Brooke Straiton of Brooke Straiton Photography and Film, who not only registered as a volunteer but also captured the entire event on camera. Her images will ensure this impactful afternoon is remembered for years to come.
Building a Culture of Community Through Business
This event wasn’t just about giving back; it was about building deeper connections within our community. Many of us spend our days focused on growing our businesses and achieving professional goals, but events like this remind us that success is most meaningful when we use it to uplift others.
Whether through time, representation, or donations, every single participant played a crucial role in creating a brighter Thanksgiving season for those in need.
Gratitude and Looking Forward
Gratitude is at the heart of everything we do, and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to work alongside such an inspiring group of people. To the Newtown Business Association, thank you for your encouragement and support in launching this initiative. To the businesses and community members who showed up in person or contributed from afar, your dedication to making a difference is what makes our town so special.
What’s Next?
This was just the beginning! I can’t wait to continue collaborating with the United Way, the NBA, and our incredible community. Events like this don’t just create immediate impact—they build a culture of generosity and connection that sustains us all.
If you missed this event, don’t worry. There will be more opportunities to give back! Let’s keep building momentum and working together to make our community stronger.
To everyone who came out—thank you for spending an afternoon doing good, giving back, and catching up with old friends. I’m already looking forward to the next event. If you’re curious about how you can get involved, feel free to reach out or check out the links below!
